It is an electronic journal of continuous flow and is intended for the publication of scientific articles, works of academic initiatives such as: dissertations, monographs, case studies, extracurricular activity projects, seminars, lectures, abstracts, reviews, teaching projects, experiences, among other studies involving the most diverse areas of health sciences. Due to its multidisciplinary character, RECCL welcomes texts by researchers, teachers, and students from undergraduate and graduate higher education institutions, being a tool that unites the institutional mission with the importance of making and disseminating Science. The RECCL is an opportunity for authors of articles, which fall into the categories of publication, to submit their manuscripts to our appreciation, contributing to the dissemination of innovative and relevant topics for the areas of Health Sciences. Articles will be reviewed by members of the editorial board and ad hoc reviewers. As a scientific journal, RECCL in its preliminary evaluation will analyze: if the text follows the style and bibliographic standards of a scientific article; if the article makes its methodology clear, based on bibliographic references; if the authors, to guarantee the state of the art, cite, in their theoretical framework, a minimum, but sufficient number of recent references (up to 5 years) extracted either from national and international scientific journals; If the references comply with the author-date system of the Vancouver standard. RECCL publishes unpublished texts, in the form of articles that address scientific research, which are the responsibility of their authors, and not necessarily, express the point of view of the editorial board.

Peer review process

The RECCL, when adopting the process of prior evaluation of the articles, aims to improve them through collaboration with the authors. The RECCL, only accepts article for appreciation if it is unpublished and is not being submitted to another journal. The evaluation process consists of two stages: First: a preliminary evaluation by the editorial board, which examines the suitability of the work to the journal's editorial line and a basic scientific quality according to the scope: Second: the evaluation by two referees for a final decision on its acceptance or not. The evaluators or referees are oriented to present constructive suggestions related to the form and content, in a timely manner, so that they are published as soon as possible. After approval by the referees, the article undergoes a review of grammar, vocabulary, cohesion, clarity and reading fluidity. The approved articles are taken to the meeting with the Editorial Committee for the preparation of the journal. The author will be informed about the progress of the process via the system and e-mail.

 Scientific editorial board

The Scientific Editorial Board or Editorial Board is formed by postgraduate professors from different teaching and research institutions in Brazil and abroad, with recognition in the academic environment. Some of its members work in the various areas of RECCL, but in a non-collective manner, that is, without provision for ordinary meetings (face-to-face or virtual) to deal with guided issues. Following the common model of national scientific journals, there is no formal involvement of members of the Editorial Board with RECCL and Instituto Cleber Leite in the responsibility for publishing the journal. The participation of each member in the journal takes place individually, through an articulation between the Editor and the Editorial Committee. Scientifically, the members of the Board act as advisors to the Editor and the Editorial Committee, promoting the journal, suggesting improvements in the editorial policy and strategies for acting in the academic and professional environment. The councilors are expected to express opinions on the consistency of the editorial policy and publications, their quality and on ethical issues relevant to editorial management and the dissemination of articles. Each member also assumes the role of “auditor” of the scientific community working in the area, guaranteeing academic credibility and the expected posture of a scientific journal. As the Editorial Board is away from the article mediation process (not having access to the metadata of the articles being evaluated), it does not supervise or interfere in the editorial process, thus being able to submit articles to RECCL and participating in the process like any other author. . There is no remuneration for the editorial board.

editorial policy committee

The Editorial Policy Committee is responsible for the operational management of the journal. It is he, in agreement with the Cleber Leite Institute, who defines the editor-in-chief of the journal. . There is no remuneration for the editorial policy committee.

 Boss Editor

The editor coordinates the editorial process and promotes the development of the authors and reviewers of the publication. Its commitment is that the journal offers the best in terms of new knowledge within the thematic area, observing the highest ethical standards in the article selection process.  editorial team

The editorial team is composed of the editor-in-chief and associate editors by subject area. Associate editors are very close collaborators of the editor, with significant involvement in the day-to-day editorial process. In terms of assignments, they can make the final decision whether or not to publish a work in their specific field. There is no remuneration for members of the editorial team.

Publication ethics

The editor plays a central role in the ethical control of the process of evaluating and publishing scientific research. Thus, RECCL, is concerned with the ethical issues of articles published in its editions, asking all authors with works that directly or indirectly involve human beings, the evaluation of the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) of competence with the author.
