Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Articles are received in a continuous flow, that is, we receive texts at any time of the year. The publication of articles is inserted on the journal's website, exclusively, in PDF format: https://reccl.com

Journal Scientific Cleber Leite accepts works in the area of ​​Health Sciences with a focus on Quality of Life and Mental Health.

Original articles, review articles, case reports or case studies are accepted. Course Completion Works may be published with the express authorization of the advisor professor.

Texts presented at conferences, symposia and seminars are accepted, provided they are unpublished and comply with the publication rules. The works will be examined by the Editorial Board.

The submission file must be in Microsoft Word format. The manuscript can be any size. There are no restrictions on word count, number of pictures, or amount of supporting information. We recommend that you present and discuss your findings concisely.

Manuscripts must be sent in Portuguese or English. Inserts for specific areas of Health Sciences will be considered.

The title must be centered, in bold and italics, in Times New Roman 14 font, with the first letter in capital letters.

Identification of the author(s) should be made immediately after the title, with 1.5 spacing between lines, in Time New Roman 11 font, without bold and italics, with a footnote and identification of the institution of origin, training academic, email and ORCID ID.

Maximum number of authors per article: The maximum number of authors per article is five (5). Changes (removal, inclusion and replacement) in the authorship of articles after online submission will not be allowed. Requests to change authorship imply archiving the article.

Identification of authorship and co-authorship: For articles with more than five (5) authors, it is necessary to detail the role played by each one in the study. Each author must have participated sufficiently in the study to be able to publicly assume responsibility for its content. Their participation must include at least: a) the conception or design or even analysis and interpretation of data, or both; b) writing the manuscript or revising it, when it includes important intellectual criticism of its content; c) final approval of the version to be published. Simply participating in data collection does not justify authorship. All elements of an article (a, b, and c cited above) must be attributable to at least one author.

In a group work (collective) the author must specify the key people responsible for the article; the other contributors must be recognized separately in acknowledgments. Material or financial assistance from any source must also be specified.

For a greater number of authors and co-authors, the corresponding author must justify in "comments to the editor" when submitting the article, leaving the Editorial Board / Reviewers to accept or not the article.

The work must contain: Abstract; Abstract; Introduction; Material and Method; Result, Discussion/Conclusion and References.

References: Journal Scientific Cleber Leite uses the “Vancouver” norms for short and long citations (with more than three lines), direct and indirect. Example of textual construction, with indirect quotes without quotation marks:

Polyphenols are compounds synthesized by plants to protect against radiation, mechanical damage and microbial infection. [1] . Polyphenols have structural variability and are commonly classified as flavonoids, phenolic acids, tannins and stilbenes. The main differences between polyphenols are in the number of phenolic rings along with one or more hydroxyl radicals. [2,3].

Long quotes (more than three lines) Vancouver: Long and direct quotes must appear in an independent paragraph, with a 4 cm margin indent on the left, without quotation marks, typed in single space and smaller font to stand out from the text (as an example , source 10).

The abstract must have a maximum of 300 and a minimum of 200 words, typed in Times New Roman 12 with single spacing. At the end, it should contain three (3) keywords, separated by a period and separated from the abstract text with double single space.

The article must be written in Times New Roman, size 12 and with 1.5 line spacing. Paper size: A4 (2.10 x 2.97 cm), portrait orientation, top and left margins of 2.5 cm, bottom and right margins of 2 cm.

Define abbreviations as they first appear in the text. Do not use non-standard abbreviations unless they appear at least three times in the text.

Images (figures and photos): must be clear, with a maximum size of 10 x 15 cm, presented in standard digital JPEG format at 300dpi. They must be centered in the document, contain captions and fonts. Important: they must be inserted in the body of the text, not pasted.

Graphs, tables, and charts must be accompanied by an explanatory title, in order to understand the meaning of the data gathered.

For photographs, figures, tables, tables and graphs extracted from other texts, the reference source must be indicated, and the authorization of the source or author must be attached.

The grammatical and orthographic revision of the texts is the exclusive responsibility of the authors, as well as the submission of manuscripts in another language.

Plagiarism Policy

The assumptions of plagiarism are: a) presenting others' work as your own; b) adopt words or ideas of other authors without due recognition; c) do not use quotation marks in a literal quotation; d) paraphrasing a source without mentioning it; e) abusive paraphrasing, even if the source is mentioned. The general assumptions of scientific fraud are the following: a) fabrication, falsification or omission of data and plagiarism; b) duplicate publication; and c) authorship conflicts.

All accepted works are submitted to plagiarism detection software. The Journal adopts the Crossref system to identify plagiarism and/or similarity. The authors will assume the consequences of any nature arising from the failure to comply with the obligations indicated in these editorial rules. In cases where plagiarism is incurred, the Editorial Coordination will follow the following procedures: the evidence of the detected plagiarism will be sent to the author(s), requesting an explanation about it. If the answer is not satisfactory, the article will not be published and, if applicable, the media in which the original plagiarized article was published will be informed.

Original Article

Original Article: These are works resulting from scientific research presenting original data from discoveries regarding experimental or observational aspects, and include descriptive analysis and/or inferences from own data. The focus should be in the area of Health Sciences. Every proposed article must be accompanied by the certificate of approval from the Research Ethics Committee of origin, or its justification provided by the main author.

Review article

Review Article: Critical review of the literature on relevant topics in the area of Health Sciences, which aim to summarize, analyze, evaluate or synthesize works already published in scientific journals in the last five (5) years.

completion of course work

The Course Completion Work must be prepared in the form of a dissertation, aiming at the initiation and involvement of the undergraduate student in the field of scientific research. The TCC structure should present specific details for introduction, development, methodology and conclusion. Follow the rules for citing the bibliographic sources that were consulted for the theoretical foundation of the text. Vancouver standards must be followed.

Case report

Case Report: These are articles that represent descriptive data from one or more cases exploring a method or problem by way of example, with an essentially didactic approach in addition to the academic discussion of the most important aspects, such as clinical and morphological aspects. It presents the characteristics of the studied individual, with indication of sex, age must be performed in human beings. Every proposed article must be accompanied by the certificate of approval of the CEP of origin, or its justification made by the main author.

Streaming articles

Articles published in the submission sequence, it is not necessary to wait for the new edition.
